Adetuberu, 28, currently serving in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, was said to have been arrested in the Ogele area of Eyenkorin on the outskirts of Ilorin.
The suspect’s arrest followed credible intelligence on the activities of “Yahoo-Yahoo boys” in Ilorin metropolis and its environs.

An EFCC source said that “in the course of investigation, Adetuberu revealed that he ventured into ‘Yahoo-Yahoo’ in 2016 and had, among other things, built a house and sponsored himself in school with the proceeds of the illegal activities.”

The suspects are Muhammed Soliu from Woru, and Olayiwola Tunde Saheed, an aluminum fabricator.
“Muhammed, 25, confessed that he joined the business in 2020 and specialised in dating scam,” the EDCC said.
