In other news, the reasons behind most musicians and entertainers getting tattoos done on their bodies are numerous and varied. In most cases, some people do tattoos on their bodies for religious purposes, for protection or as a source of power, as an indication of group membership, as a status symbol, and as an artistic expression.

For some people, they only aim at appreciating artistic works. Others tattoo the names and faces of their loved ones on their bodies as a sign of gratitude and love for them or in remembrance of a demised loved one.

Ghanaian songstress, Francine Kouffie, affectionately known in the music scene as Fantana has revealed that she has about fifteen tattoos on her body.

During an interview with the lifestyle & celebrity blogger, Zionfelix on the Uncut Show, Fantana stated that she has valid reasons behind every single tattoo she has on her body.

She said that whenever she is in the mood or feels she needs to inscribe something that means a lot to her on her body she just goes in for it regardless or the pain she will go through or the backlashes she would be subjected to by her critics.
